RESERVOIR NOW AT MONARCH

Here’s a fact that’s easy to overlook: the cells in your body right now are the youngest they will ever be.

Your immune cells, specifically, change constantly over a lifetime. The ones you have today are not the ones you’ll have in ten or twenty years. They shift with age, with stress, with illness, with everything life puts you through. And once they’ve changed, there’s no going back to collect the version you had before.

That simple, almost obvious idea is the thinking behind our newest addition: Reservoir.

What Reservoir Is

Reservoir is a personal cell preservation service. With a single standard blood draw, it collects and preserves your immune cells, then stores them long-term in an FDA-registered facility, kept at temperatures below -150°C, so they stay exactly as they are today.

It was built by Cellino, a Cambridge-based cell technology company founded by two scientists who met in a Harvard physics lab and have spent nearly a decade developing ways to handle and manage cells with precision. It launched in partnership with Vinod Khosla, one of the most respected names in deep-science investing.

The idea is simple, even if the science behind it isn’t. Wearables capture today’s numbers. Bloodwork captures today’s biomarkers. Reservoir captures today’s actual cells.

Let’s Be Clear About What It Is, and Isn’t

This is the part we think matters most, and it’s where we want to be completely straight with you.

Reservoir is a preservation service, not a treatment. It does not cure, diagnose, or fix anything. No one, including Reservoir, is promising that your stored cells will be used for a specific therapy. What it offers is something more honest and more interesting: optionality.

The field of cell-based medicine is moving quickly. Researchers are exploring how a person’s own immune cells might one day play a role in areas like cancer and autoimmune care. Much of that is still in development, and it would be wrong to frame it as a treatment plan. But the logic is hard to argue with: if those possibilities do arrive, the people who preserved their younger cells will have material to work with that others simply won’t. You can always collect cells later. You can never collect the cells you have today.

And crucially, you own them. Stored in your name. Released only on your instruction. You and your physician decide if and when that future ever comes.

Why It Fits at Monarch

We’ve built Monarch around a simple belief: that the most powerful thing you can do for your health is act early, with good information, before you’re forced to react.

Reservoir is that belief taken to its furthest edge. It’s not about what you need today. It’s about preserving an option for a tomorrow none of us can see clearly yet, a quiet, deliberate decision made now, while you still can.

That’s exactly the kind of forward-thinking we want to bring to our members, and to anyone thinking seriously about the long game.

Available at Monarch

Reservoir is now available through Monarch, and you don’t have to be a member to do it with us. It starts with a short conversation and a single blood draw.

No one can tell you what medicine will make possible thirty years from now. But your cells will never be younger than they are today. Reservoir is simply a way to keep that option open.
